・片倉北通り

かつては堰（せき）とカラタチの生け垣があり今より幅の狭い道でしたが、製糸場に勤める人々や製糸場へ向かう繭を積んで大八車の往来など賑やかな通りでした。地元の子は製糸場内の社宅に住む友達と遊ぶため生け垣の下を通り抜けていったそうです。

・Katakurakita-dori Street

In the past it was a narrower street with weirs and trifoliate orange hedges, but it was also a lively street, bustling with Silk Mill workers and Daihachiguruma carts carrying silkworm cocoons to and from the mill. It is said that local children would pass under the hedges on their way to play with friends whose families lived in the mill's company housing.

過去有著堰堤及枸橘籬笆，雖然比起現今街道顯著狹窄，但因製絲廠員工及送往製絲廠的蠶繭材料運貨車穿梭往來，街道顯得車水馬龍熱鬧無比。據說當地的孩子會為了跟住在製絲廠宿舍的朋友一起玩，而鑽籬笆穿越過去。

À l'époque, il y avait une écluse et une haie de mandariniers sauvages qui rendaient le passage plus étroit qu'aujourd'hui. La rue n'en était pas moins fortement fréquentée par le va-et-vient des ouvriers et des charrettes à bras chargées de cocons qui convergeaient vers la filature.
Les enfants du pays passaient sous les haies pour aller jouer avec leurs petits camarades qui habitaient dans les logements ouvriers de la filature.
